Celebrity Ah Ge Li Nanxing offers Hae Bee Hiam Croissant & Curry Chicken at Bakers & Co., Taste Gourmet Market

Local favourite celebrity Ah Ge, Li Nanxing, unveils Bakers & Co. at Taste Gourmet Market recently with his two signature dishes – Dried Scallop Hae Bee Hiam with Croissant (three for $7.90) and Curry Chicken Set $9.90 with baguette.

Combining his own creation with his family recipe, Ah Ge strives to recreate the taste and flavour he had savoured since young. These dishes remind him of his childhood when he had grew up enjoying them.

Ah Ge’s Dried Scallop Hae Bee Hiam with Croissant had me revelling. The filling is addictively spicy with kick, moist and flavourful. Would be great if they also sell the sauce in tubs. In juxtaposition to the Curry Chicken, the latter is significantly less spicy but smooth on the palette. The meat is quite tender too.
