Wu Pao Chun Bakery – Taiwanese Artisan Bread with Asian Flavours in Capitol Piazza Singapore

Wu Pao Chun Bakery is a famous Taiwanese bakery that has just landed at Capitol Piazza in Singapore. It is named after Master Wu Pao Chun, who owns the title of ‘Master Baker’ in the 2010 Coupe Du Monde la Boulangerie under his belt and is known for the award-winning Lychee Rose Royale 荔枝玫瑰 and Red Wine Longan 酒酿桂圆 bread.

Besides the range of artisan bread sold in the Singapore outlet, they also sell financiers in boxes, comprising of the flavours like the Lychee Rose, Mango with Caribbean Rum and Red Wine Longan.

The open-spaced kitchen allows you a glance of the bread making process.

Wu Pao Chun’s breads are infused with Asian flavours.

There’s the recommended adorable mushroom-shaped TomYummy $2.60 (with spicy tom yum chicken), Satay Satay $3.50, Sawadee $2.80 (with green curry chicken, mushroom and cashew nuts), Mentaiko Baguette $3 and Spicy Tuna $2.80 (with green pickled chilli).

The TomYummy was delicious with a spicy kick. The meats inside were succulent and richly drenched in a thick layer of thick sauce.

I also had the Spicy Tuna that comes with a nice tasty tuna filling enclosed in fluffy airy buns. Not bad.

The Sawadee $2.80 comes with a medley of green curry chicken, mushrooms and cashew nuts. Again, the buns are really fluffy with a little crunch at the surface due to the crispy cheese.
