One of the restaurants include Takujo Japanese Dining where seasonal and quality ingredients are used in the menu. With an elegant interior of golden and purple hues, the atmosphere sets an intimate dining experience great for couples and your loved ones.

Diners can choose from 6-course or 8-course Takujo Divine Set Dinners:

Sukiyaki & Shabu -Shabu 6-course Dinner Set $78

Sakura 8-course Dinner Set $98

Takujo 8-course Signature Dinner Set $128

There is also an Ala Carte menu and a seasonal menu featuring Sakura Spring delights.

We had the $78 set dinner which turned out to be very value for money!

Sukiyaki & Shabu-Shabu 6-course Dinner Set $78

Ikura Chawanmushi

The steamed egg custard topped with Salmon roe was a fantastic starter boosting a silky soft texture that simply glided down the throat. Coupled with the burst of Salmon roe in the mouth, it was pure decadence.

Flamed Shime Saba

Japanese Mackerel sashimi with ginger oroshi and wasabi.

Seared Shiromi Ponzu

Tender slices of shiromi with melt-in-the-mouth texture.

Japanese Vegetable Selection

A selection of seven types of Ehime Perfecture-imported seasonal vegetables such as Enoki mushrooms, button mushrooms, carrots, cabbages and tofu.

Shabu-shabu and Sukiyaki

Shabu-shabu and Sukiyaki lovers will enjoy the various selections of premium meats, fish and seafood as main course. Savour US Waygu Beef MBS 8-9 (150g), Kurobuta Pork Belly (200g), A5 Miyazaki Ribeye (add $15), Fresh Sashimi Grade Seabream Slices (200g) or the Whole Live Lobster (add $15).

After being cooked, the meats appeared to be tender and not overly chewy.

For those who enjoy a sweeter and flavourful broth, the sukiyaki will be the better choice for your meats while pairing it with a bowl of rice.

For those who prefer a lighter taste, the shabu-shabu has an easy drinking broth which would bring out the flavours of the meats and seafood well.

Niigata Rice or Inaniwa Udon

Complete your meal with the premium rice from Niigata or the handcut thin Inaniwa noodles. I loved the Inaniwa Udon for its smoothness and firm consistency despite being soaked in the broth for as long as we were having our meal.

Dessert

Desserts were pleasantly good with the Tofu Cheesecake and Genmaicha Ice Cream with a scorched surface.

Sakura Spring Seasonal Menu

Available on the Set Dinner and Sakura Spring Menu includes the Flamed Shima Saba ($16) and Shiromi Ponzu ($14). So diners can still order more on top of the set dinner. The rest of the items such as the Sweet Miso Hotaru Ika ($9), Ika Uni Roll ($18), Wagyu Croquettes ($12) and Uni Tempura ($21) look appetising too.

Takujo’s Decadent Donburi $55

This bowl of Otoro, Chutoro, Uni, Negitoro and Ikura Sashimi over Niigata rice left me on cloud nine. The abundance of ingredients was a sight to behold and the freshness made it well-worth your money.

Takujo’s Divine Set Dinner will be available from 1st March 2017 to 30th April 2017. Don’t miss this out!
