Spice Brasserie reopens with an extensive Asian Street Food buffet, Charcoal Grills & Teppanyaki Ice Cream at PARKROYAL on Kitchener Road

Spice Brasserie at PARKROYAL on Kitchener Road has returned with a sleek new look following its renovation in 2019. The 300-seater restaurant now serves Asian street food during buffets, which includes four live stations – Charcoal Grill, Tandoor, Asian Salad Bar and Teppanyaki Ice Cream.

The buffet line promises an extensive line-up of cuisine from various parts of Southeast Asia like India, Vietnam, Japan, Korea and Malaysia. It’s new, exciting and definitely a step forward from their previous buffet concept.

Look forward to meaty delights, such as the Black Char Siew and BBQ Carrot Cake, grilled robatayaki-styled. The signature Broken Rice Claypot Porridge comes highly recommended. Grilled in batches over charcoal fire, the light, tasty broth in each claypot comes filled with white clams, barramundi and plump oysters.

Other surf and turf selections include the Fish Otah, Salt Water Grilled Barramundi on stick, Barbecued Marinated Leg of Lamb and Crispy Roast Pork Belly Roll.

Don’t miss the Chiang Mai Khao Soi and Saigon Pancake, both prepared à la minute. The Chiang Mai Khao Soi features a mix of crispy noodles and flat noodles in a sweet and creamy coconut curry broth that is worth going back for.

The Squid Ink Naan is made in house. The dough is pinched, pressed and rolled, and sprinkled with garlic and spices before being sent into a tandoor oven. The naan can be paired with the Indian curries, pickles and daily selection of Tandoori Meats available alongside.

The Asian Salad Bar at Spice Brasserie operates almost like how you would order a bowl of salad outside. You choose your favourite ingredients and the chef will have the greens chopped, mixed together and drizzled in sauces like Chinese Peanut Butter, Soy Oriental, or Mala. If you are feeling up to it, spice up your salad with a scoop of diced sashimi or fresh sashimi.

The Mapo Tofu, Chilli Crab, Black Pepper Crayfish, Peking Duck and Nanjing Salt Water Duck are some must-tries too.

Another highlight is the Teppanyaki Ice Cream which features two daily specials – Piña Colada Ice Cream and Matcha with Azuki Beans and Mochi alongside a colourful array of toppings to sweeten the deal.
