Slappy Cakes by Tung Lok Group – DIY Pancakes at Plaza Singapura Fun for All Ages!
Looking for a fun-filled dining spot for your kids, a couple bonding session or simply just to enjoy yourselves, Slappy Cakes would flip your pancakes and do you in for a good time. A Make-Your-Own (MYO) concept under Tung Lok Group, Slappy Cakes allows diners to get hands-on. This is the place for you to get your creative juices churning and start DIY-ing your pancakes with the provided ingredients. Each table is fitted with a grilling pan so everyone can just join in the fun from all sides!
There are several batters to choose from like the Whole Grain, Chocolate, Pandan, Peanut Butter and Buttermilk. Each bottle is 8oz and priced at $8.50.
One tip for beginners: Simply squeeze out an outline using the batter first, then fill up the insides. That would actually stabilize the shape of your artwork, making it easier for you to continue!
Don’t be shy to sprinkle some Fixings (from $1.50 onwards) into your pancake, especially when there are options for sweet and savoury. To name a few, there are fruits (blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, banana), nuts (toasted almonds, hazelnuts, pecan, granola) and chocolate chips. Drizzle some lavender honey or have it with a slab of lemon curd or jam too.
For something heartier and cheesier, toss in a few slices of pork sausages, ham, cheddar cheese and chopped scallions. Who says you can’t be your own pizza chef here!
Besides MYO pancakes, you can also order from the Ala Carte menu for Waffles, All-Day Breakfast, Mains and Pasta. Some signatures include a whopping portion of the Slappy Family Breakfast Platter $58, Smoked Trout Waffles $18, Waffle and Duck $22 and Field Mushroom Tartine $18 to fuller mains such as Beef Goulash $25, Black Angus Beef Sirloin $29 and Braised Lamb Shank $28.
