Salut Ventures’ German Beers x Beer Basket Singapore

if you are looking for some beers, be it craft or tap, for a good night’s out, head over to Beer Basket!

Located along Upper Thomson Road, beer drinkers would be stoked to find that they have rows and rows of bottled beers on display for your pick. Among which Salut Ventures have supplied their 500ml bottled Svyturys Ekstra Lager Beer and Svyturys Baltijos Dark Lager over here.

The Svyturys Ekstra Lager Beer (5.2 abv) is actually the first Lithuanian beer to be brewed since 1995! It has a bright gold colour, is light and crisp on the palate.

As for the Svyturys Baltijos Dark Lager (5.8 abv), it is also labelled as an Oktoberfest Lager. Interestingly, this has a unique taste of malty caramel accompanied by a handsome feel on the tongue. If you are a fan of such flavour, this might be your thing.

Of course, at Beer Basket, the range of beers available are simply expansive.

What’s beer without beer grubs too!

Recommended is the BBQ Sambal Stingray ($22 for 1-2 pax, $28 for 3-4 pax) that’s absolutely great for sharing. Dig into those succulent white meats drenched in thick saucy sambal for that extra kick.

There’s also the Sambal Sotong $14.80, crispy Ha! Chiong! Gai! $9, Spam Fries $7, Fried Tofu $6.50 with sweet and sour Asian sauce, Roasted Pork $9 and more.

For heartier portions, the Stout Battered Fish & Chips $15.80 featured a giant meaty fish alongside coleslaw and shoestring fries. Surely this comforting meal is worth the buck and calories.
