Positano has two outlets – the flagship restaurant, Positano Risto, is located at 66 Bussorah Street and another, Positano @ RP, is at 49 Circular Road. It is rare to find an Italian restaurant in Singapore that’s Halal-certified and Positano nailed it with quality as well.

The a la carte menu is extensive, featuring handmade thin crust pizzas, classic appetizers and soup to lip-smacking pasta, hearty grills, risotto and desserts. For weekday, the affordably priced special lunch set starts from $12.95 and includes a free drink.

Begin with the highly recommended Lobster Bisque $10.95. Boiled for six hours with tons of shellfishes, what you get is a smooth, creamy and flavourful broth worth every sip. There are also several pieces of lobster chunks within.

Accompanying the soup is a slice of crusty garlic bread, that’s buttery, garlicky and tasty even on its own.

Seafood aficionados will rejoice at the beautifully plated Pan Seared Hokkaido Scallops $18.95, featuring bouncy succulent scallops elevated by the crunchy tobiko, sea salt and creamy lemon thyme sauce.

For mains, the Squid Ink Seafood Spaghetti $23.95 comes lavished with two large prawns, mussels, squids and scallop. The in-house squid ink sauce is definitely the showstopper here, lightly spiced with a dash of chilli oil, extremely palatable and well-seasoned with the flavours of the crustaceans.

Some other mains on the menu include the Lemon Herb Baked Salmon $22.95, Honey Glazed Short Rib $29.95 and Positano Lobster Thermidor $54.95.

Positano’s version of the popular chocolate lava cake comes with a twist. In place of the usual vanilla ice cream is an ice cream Oreo sandwich. Double the chocolatey moment with the rich molten chocolate core encased in a dense chocolate cake. The Positano Signature Oreo Chocolate Lava Stack $13.95 makes the ultimate noteworthy dessert to indulge in at the end of the meal.
