Plan C Patisserie Bubble Tea Sponge Cake with Pearls & Glaze Cake

Plan C Patisserie has got a range of beautifully-glazed galaxy mousse cakes, bearing mystical swirls in various shades of colours. They have an outlet in Automall and Gurney Plaza, with the most recent one opened in a hipster cafe, Forest Bottle Tree.  

I visited Plan C in Gurney Drive, located at the forth floor across Royaltea. There is an ongoing collaboration with Royaltea where you can get 10% off the cakes here with any purchase of drinks from Royaltea.

Plan C’s Royal Sponge Cake with Pearl RM25 uses the pearl from Royaltea too. It’s really soft with a chew.

The dessert came wrapped like this. Get ready your cameras for that epic moment when you lift up the plastic sleeve.

The thick layer of what seemed to be cream cheese flowed over the sponge cake like lava, overwhelmed with pearls that cascaded together.

I got a taste of savouriness from the cream cheese accompanied with the brown sugar sweetness. The sponge cake was thick and the sauce was enough to thoroughly soak each bite of the cake too. It’s sinfully delicious and good for sharing because it could get really heavy!

Still, it was very enjoyable!

I also tried the Lemon Lychee Bavarian RM20. There were hidden lychee fruits within while the mousse was zesty from the lemon. It was a surprisingly light cake, tasty on its own.
