New English And Peranakan Afternoon Tea at Atrium, Pan Pacific Singapore

Pan Pacific Singapore has launched two new afternoon tea sets at Atrium. Experience east to west indulgence with the Peranakan Afternoon Tea and English Afternoon Tea, over tea, coffee or a glass of Laurent-Perrier Champagne. The Atrium is located at the ground floor of Pan Pacific Singapore with cosy seating pods and adequate privacy for a leisure afternoon.

English Afternoon Tea

The elegant three-tier afternoon tea stand comes with a myriad of sweets and savoury that will spoilt anyone for choice.

On the top tier, you get Sea Salt Caramel Chocolate Tart, dainty Profiteroles, blueberry-infused Canelé and Éclairon (a fusion of eclair and macaron).

The middle tier is where classic finger sandwiches are found. Sink your teeth into the Pacific Lobster Roll or go for the Potato Churros with Jamon Iberico which boasts an interesting combination.

The last tier sets you back to a sweet moment with the Fudge Cheese Cake, Cacao Berry Opera Cake and Matcha and Lychee Gataeux where the matcha and lychee formed a great pairing of subtle bitterness and sweetness.

The Fudge Cheese Cake surprised me with the oreo bits layered within the smooth light cheese, while glazed in luscious chocolate sauce.

How can afternoon tea be without scones!

The English Afternoon Tea is served with Raisin and Classic Scones alongside clotted cream, butter and strawberry jam. I enjoyed the crumbly scones that were neither too buttery or doughy.

Peranakan Afternoon Tea

It is not common to find a Peranakan Afternoon tea set in Singapore. Hence, I was thrilled to discover that Atrium at Pan Pacific Singapore actually has this on the menu. The afternoon tea comes in a nostalgic three-tier tiffin carrier which opens to reveal a spread of yummy treats.

Don’t miss the Crab Meat Kueh Pie Tee, Hae Bee bread rolls and Nonya Curry with french baguette. The curry is nice, thick and flavourful. Those who love kuehs will enjoy the Kueh Dardar (pandan crepes with caramelised coconut), Ondeh Ondeh and Pastry Chef’s Eddy’s Bandung Macaron, uniquely done.

The scones are even more amazing with Coconut and Classic flavours, and served with Hainanese Kaya and Pineapple Jam. The taste of the coconut was prominent with each bite which went well with the pineapple jam. You can also have a glass of their homemade Ice Roselle Tea for an elevated experience.

Personally I have always love lounging at the Atrium as it exudes privacy for its spaciousness, coupled with the attentive services rendered. Besides the Happy Hour where house pours are priced at $12, I have now found reasons to go back to the Atrium for.
