Mok Mok Brunch & Bistro – Jiggly Soufflé & Flower Tea at a Gardenesque Cafe in Johor, Malaysia
Mok Mok Brunch & Bistro is a beautiful cafe at Jalan Pelangi, Johor Malaysia, about 10-15 minutes drive from JB Checkpoint. The spacious cafe was generously decorated with potted plants around the perimeters and hanging ivy criss-crossing the ceilings, accompanied with white tables and a series of mismatch chairs.
The green put me at peace and the noise level appeared subdued despite the crowd. Business was good when I visited on a Tuesday afternoon with more than half the seats filled.
The menu served a good variety of food from light bites, burgers and brunch items to the egg pufflets, soufflé and sweet desserts.
Mok Mok called the soufflé, the Kumo Ultimo which translates to Your ultimate pancake.
They come in six kinds of flavours which comprise of Raw Honey, Fresh Mango, Fresh Strawberry, Tiramisu, Milk Tea or Sweet Potato.
It was a tough choice as all the combinations looked interesting. In the end, I settled for the Tiramisu RM20, featuring a cream cheese soufflé pancake surrounded with espresso mousse, dark chocolate shavings, crumbles and pine nuts. On the side was a scoop of vanilla ice cream and dark chocolate sauce for pouring.
It was a hearty portion and the accompanying ingredients were definitely more than enough to go with each bite of the soufflé.
As for the soufflé, they are jiggly goodness, airy but firm with hints of cheese fragrance.

The dark chocolate sauce certainly made this taste like a chocolate pancake; it was gooey and rich.
Opt for the nitro tea or loose leaf tea to complete the meal too!
