Makan@Jen at Hotel Jen, Orchardgateway – East Meets West Dinner Buffet
A new dinner concept is launched at Makan@Jen situated within Hotel Jen, Orchardgateway. The East meets West buffet will entice your tastebud with a tantalising array of Eastern and Western cuisines from around the world.
With the tagline “Nothing brings the world together like good food“, you will be in for a series of asian-fusion dishes and innovative creations.
Some of the buffet highlights include Thai Fried Chicken Wings stuffed with cream potatoes and parma ham, Char Kway Teow/ Hokkein Mee Pasta, Fish and Chips using Fried Dough Fritters, Pie Tee Paella and Chilli Crab Quesadilla.
The interesting combination of spaghetti fried in Hokkein style would have you surprised as it worked out well with each strand of noodle being moist and tasty.
There is also a live station where you can order your noodles which comes with prawn, tofu, clams, squids and vegetables in a heartwarming prawn broth soup.
Spotted the Laksa Fried Rice too! There are also Dim Sum, Roti Prata and Fried Chicken Chops on the buffet line.
Seafood lovers would love this section – Seafood on Ice – comprising of a smorgasbord of cooked crabs, claws, prawns, black mussels and clams. Near for grabs are the Sushi and Sashimi, followed by a huge station of Mixed Salads and Appetisers.
Rest assure no one will judge if you decide to start the buffet with Desserts.
Why? Because Makan@Jen’s dessert spread is another world altogether.
Not only do you get to create your own (beautiful) chendol ice kacang…
There are eight types of ice cream flavours to choose from with selections such as durian, pineapple, soursop, yam, chocolate and so on. Dunk it in chocolate, top with fruits, sprinkles or chocolate bits…and your finished product might even look like this!
The amazing Cakes and Tarts galore will set your heart racing with choices like pandan tart, coffee cheesecake, mango mousse, pavlova, puddings and Nonya kuehs.
The desserts make a good ending to the dinner buffet. After which, diners can actually go up to Baywatch@Jen at level 19 for a tipple or two. Featuring an alfresco area with rooftop pools and panoramic view of the city’s skyline, it is a great way to chill the night away.
