Grand Copthorne Waterfront Singapore Chinese New Year Feast

From 19 January to 19 February 2019, diners get to savour the best Chinese cuisine Grand Copthorne Waterfront has to offer this Lunar New Year. Prepared by Executive Chef David Toh and his dedicated team, the Joyous Spring Reunion dishes up wholesome food with quality ingredients that comfort and indulge the taste buds at the same time.

Aside from a Prosperity Yu Sheng intricately shaped like a Chinese zodiac, the show-stopping Homemade Char Siew Marinated Whole Baby Lamb is sure to attract crowds with its enticing display and live carving station. A unique addition to the typical soy chicken and roasted pork belly that yields tender, fragrant meat.

Seafood abounds at Grand Copthorne Waterfront this festive season. Be prepared to indulge in dishes like the Prosperity Crispy Whole Seabass with Sweet and Sour Sauce, Freshly Canadian Cheesy Baked Lobster, Mala Spicy Crawfish, and Drunken Herbal Prawns. While each dish is designed to elevate the fresh flavours of the seafood, the Mala Spicy Crawfish and Freshly Canadian Cheesy Baked Lobster stood out the most with their intense flavours and succulent meat.

Traditional dishes also make their appearance. The Stewed Whole Pork Trotter with Garlic, Yam, Chestnuts and Mushrooms deserves special mention for its melt-in-your-mouth pork trotter, paired with comforting, earthy notes from the ingredients. Don’t forget to fill your plate with some Lotus Leaf Rice with Wax Meats as well.

The menu also includes nourishing soups like Braised Four Treasures Soup, Braised Hashima Soup, Double-boiled Abalone Soup, and more. Do note a different type of soup will be served for each set lunch or dinner.

With Lunar New Year being all about gathering with your loved ones for a heart-warming meal, a gargantuan 18-year Pen Cai will make its appearance during dinner servings. Be prepared to burrow through this bountiful feast of scallops, abalone, sea cucumber, fish maw, and more!

Save some stomach space for the tantalising festive desserts too; no excuses to miss these once-per-year goodies!
