On the 2nd of August, District 10 celebrated its 10th anniversary at its flagship outlet at UE Square. What a feat to have come this far!
We sat at the alfresco area with the ceiling lavished with fairy lights. As night fell, the restaurant basked in hues of yellow while somewhere nearby a DJ livened up the atmosphere with familiar trendy songs.
I was offered a Belvedere Vodka-based cocktail, served in a beautiful glassware. The cocktail was light and refreshing!
The appetizers and desserts were served buffet style. There were oysters, truffle beef Carpaccio, poached prawns, crabmeat salad and caprese salad.
Main course was a choice of Grilled Argentinian Rib Eye with Caramelized Shallot & Truffle Potato Mousse, Sautéed Salmon Medallion with White Sauce and Green Asparagus or Homemade Angel Hair with Alba Black Truffle.
I had the Salmon Medallion, nicely presented on a bed of mashed potato and asparagus. The salmon was moist and not overly tough.
It was chocolate overload at the desserts corner. i especially loved the raspberry chocolate dome, which when sliced apart, revealed a molten raspberry core.
