Bober Tea at Bishan MRT – Signature Brown Sugar Boba Fresh Milk & Matcha Strawberry Latte

No surprise there that bubble tea has always been the go-to thirst quenching drink wherever we are. With so many bubble tea stores around Singapore, choices are aplenty especially when each store has a drinks menu that shines as brightly as the sun.

Whether the way into our hearts is due to the taste, prices or accessibility of the outlet, we all have our preferences and of course, curiosity when something new starts brewing in a corner of Singapore.

Just nice, Bober Tea has conveniently opened beside Bishan MRT station a few months back. We reached at eight plus on a weekday night, and Bober Tea was already spotted with a snaking queue filled mostly with students and young adults.

The menu was extensive and several unique beverages caught my attention. You can be adventurous and go for the local-inspired Black Glutinous Rice Milk Tea ($3.30S, $4.50M) and Salted Caramel Milk Tea ($3.50S, $4.70M).

On the other hand, signature items such as the Black Sugar Konjac Jelly Milk Tea ($3.60S, $4.80M), Fragrant Taro Milk ($3.20S, $4.30M) and Cheese Cap Milk Tea ($3.60S, $4.70M) beckoned jarringly from the menu board.

We tried three drinks and my favourite was the Supreme Fruit Burst Green Tea ($5.20S, $6.50M).

It was fruity and refreshing with a tinge of sourness at the base that reminded me of plum juice.

The Matcha Strawberry Latte ($3.90S, $4.90M) was an interesting combination of two flavours, aesthetically beautiful with the two hues of green and pink.

The strawberry tasted like bandung and was much sweeter on its own. I preferred mixing the drink where the taste became more well-balanced.

Last but least, the Brown Sugar Boba Fresh Milk ($3.80S, $4.80M) came with an amazing layer of black pearl, softer and less chewier than expected. They were a triumphant delight in my mouth.

There are also selections for other toppings like the White/Black Jelly Pearl ($0.50S, $0.80M), Aloe Vera Cubes ($0.70S, $1.00M) and Rainbow Konjac ($0.40S, $0.70M).
