Atmosphere Bistro’s New Weekend Seaside Brunch with Nasi Lemak Egg Ben & Pancake Stack at Parkland Green

I’ll admit, it’s not always easy to find a place that satisfies every person’s demands when all you want is a simple weekend meal with your family. Is this cafe kid friendly? What if I want to catch that major sports match without cutting my precious time short?

Luckily for us, Atmosphere Bistro has relocated from Alexandra Retail Center to its current premises at Parkland Green. Overlooking a beautiful stretch of the East Coast, Atmosphere combines its huge space and tranquil views to create the perfect atmosphere for a relaxed meal.

Available from 10.30am – 3pm on Saturday and Sunday, Atmosphere Bistro’s recently launched brunch menu consists of classic brunch fare revolving mostly around eggs and pancakes.

The Portobello Mushroom Egg Benedict ($20.90) fared well with the thickly cut mushroom adding a layer of juiciness and succulence to the sliced asparagus, while the Oven Baked Bacon & Egg ($15.90) makes for an ideal treat to dip into on colder, rainy weekends.

While the ingredients were plated with care, I would have preferred if the brioche buns were less dense so I could devote more tummy space to those yummy morsels!

The Nasi Lemak Egg Benedict ($18.90) debuted during the National Day festivities and has stayed on the menu since. For its price, it fell short of expectations. Portion wise, it could have been more generous especially the chicken drumlets.

The balachan spread was not as spicy as I expected (a saving grace for those with sensitive tastebuds and tummies), although the classic ikan billis and peanuts it was served with was nice and crunchy.

For the sweet toothed, the Fruity Pancake Stack ($19.90) was an indulgent tower of fluffy pancakes stacked with fresh cut fruit, cream, and topped with two perfectly caramelised bananas. This was also my favourite pick out of the brunch menu!

For locally inclined palates, the Coconut Cheesy Toast ($14.80) which is served with crunchy cereal and coconut ice cream, is also available.

Notable thirst quenchers include the colourful Rainbow Fruit Tea ($9), made with butterfly pea tea, sugar syrup, and a variety of cut fruit, and the Frozen Kirin Beer ($14) with mango flavour.

The Truffle Fries ($10.80) are worth checking out too!

While there were a few kinks here and there, Atmosphere Bistro is an ideal place to head to if you are looking for an escape from the ol’ hustle and bustle. Head over for a hearty brunch and take a leisurely stroll on the beach thereafter!
