Antoinette Singapore Gorgeous French Desserts, Cakes and Macarons

If you are looking for a lovely tea session or after-meal dessert in town, Antoinette will satisfy your palate with a range of gorgeous cakes. With two outlets at Mandarin Gallery and 30 Penhas Road, the former will be a convenient location for those shopping in town to rest their tired feet while feeding their hungry tummies.

Take your pick from the cakes displayed behind glass at the counter. Surely a selection of ten plus cakes would leave you spoilt for choice, for each and every one is unique in appearance and taste.

Fancy a La Rose cake? Surprise your girlfriend with this during Valentine’s Day!

Feeling adventurous? The asian-inspired Orient is a lotus seed mousse, topped with a salted egg cremeux that oozes out sinfully.

The sleek glaze on the Charlotte IV caught me drooling. Slice apart and you get a white chocolate flower mousse encasing cassis strawberry jelly, strawberry cremeux and ginger sponge on a almond crumble base.

The Monotone is my favourite cake amongst all. You get a combination of grand cru chocolate mousse, milk chocolate, almond nougatine, chocolate genoise, exotic fruit jelly and exotic fruit cremeux. The taste is a well-balanced bitter-sweetness. Great for those who like their cake flavour to be rich.

Deemed as one of the bestseller, the Antoinette bears the same name as the restaurant. Filled with luscious layers of chocolate, this is even more intense than the Monotone.

Antoinette rotates their cakes occasionally with new introductions too. I still remembered this two cakes I had some time ago – the Opera Matcha and the super cute Magic Mushroom.

The Snow Globe was available last Christmas, very meticulously and beautifully decorated.

Besides cakes on display, there are an array of macarons, assorted pralines, chocolate and cookies for retail too.

I am usually not a big fan of macarons but I find the ones from Antoinette not overly sweet. I love that the macaron shells are crunchy too.

They are sold at 6 for $15, 12 for $30.
