3888 蠔煎 Fried Oyster Omelette in Lebuh Presgrave Hawker, Penang

Penang is a foodie haven and this is the place where you can find tons of local food here. From Assam Laksa, Char Kuey Teow, Hokkien Mee, to Satay, Popiah and Chendol, the drool-worthy list is endless.

Presgrave Street Hawker Centre is a short distance from 1st Avenue Mall. There’s the popular Three Road 888 Hokkien Mee and while having that, I had an extra order from 3888 Fried Oyster (also 3888 蠔煎) for a plateful of appetising-looking oyster omelette (RM10 for small, RM15 for medium, RM20 for large).

I love fried oyster omelette, and this one that I had was cooked in the wet version that I very much preferred. Chilli paste was nice and the stallholder gave me an extra portion upon seeing the depleted saucer. There’s a good mix of puffy eggs with the gooey starchy texture. Oysters, on the other hand, was small, but still juicy with a little chew.
